The course
This course examines core social and political dynamics in contemporary Israeli politics from a data-driven social-scientific perspective. The objective of the course is to provide students with a historical background and analytical understanding of contemporary Israeli politics, and the ability to use data to inform their understanding of central political questions in Israeli politics. Attention will be paid to institutions, economic development, coalition formation, ethnic politics, and religious divisions in Israel, examined through the lens of comparative politics.
