You know you are capable of more. So why does it feel like you might not cope?
You do not have to become a different person to get through school or a first year at university. You need two things nobody hands students in Bangladesh: a map of what your subjects and grades actually open — and a method for the days when you know exactly what to do and still cannot start.
The method
When you know what to do and still cannot start.
Not laziness, and not a character problem. Usually your working memory is carrying more than it can hold, and the task is competing with everything else in there. This does one thing: turns whatever you are avoiding into a five-minute action you can actually take.
One task. One reason it is not moving. One small step.
Nothing you type here is sent anywhere or saved to any account — this runs entirely on your own phone.
Optional — writing it down is often the first useful thing.
Five minutes. Stopping when it ends is the plan.
Life skills
The things university assumes you already know.
Nobody teaches these and everybody is quietly expected to have them. Each one is a single practical move, not a philosophy.
The ladder
Three stages, and only one of them is a qualification you apply with.
Most students can name the stages and almost none can tell you how the marks move between them. That gap is where wasted years come from.
Subject atlas
Every subject, with the code your exams officer needs.
Transcribed from Cambridge International's own subject pages. When you fill an entry form, the four digits are what matters — not the name you call it in class.
Cambridge O Level
IGCSE runs a parallel set of codes beginning 0—, with 9–1 variants on many syllabuses. Check the syllabus page for the exact IGCSE code before you enter.
Tool
Pathway matcher
Subject choice is the most consequential decision you make before university and it is usually made on a rumour. Tap what you take — the doors sort themselves.
What my subjects open Live
Green is open. Amber means eligible but not competitive. Red means the door is shut at most selective universities, whatever else you do.
Tool
The grade engine
Cambridge AS is worth exactly 50% of the marks in the full A Level. That single rule tells you precisely what the second year has to deliver — so here is the arithmetic, run backwards.
What A2 has to deliver Live
Enter the percentage uniform mark from your AS statement of results. If you do not have it in front of you, pick the grade instead and treat the answer as the pessimistic end.
This tool rests on one rule — that AS carries 50% of the marks in the full A Level. It is widely stated and it is not yet traced to a Cambridge page in our sources. Confirm it against your syllabus before planning a grade around the output.
Tool
The carry-forward clock
AS marks count towards an A Level only within 13 months of the sitting, and can be carried forward twice at most. Students lose whole years to this rule without ever having heard it.
When my AS marks expire Live
The 13-month window and the two-carry limit are the whole basis of this clock, and they are not yet traced to a Cambridge page in our sources. Your exams officer can confirm both in a minute — do that before you rely on a date here.
Tool
Bangladesh equivalence estimator
Before a Bangladeshi university can read your result, it has to become a GPA on the national 5.00 scale. Here is roughly where you land — and what that means for the units you can actually apply to.
Which certificate you need depends on the destination: the Education Board (BISE) one for most private universities (BDT 2,000 per level, 4,000 for both, British Council attestation first, up to 30 days); Dhaka University's own process on its admission portal, which must be finished before the main application; DGME for MBBS and BDS; the Pharmacy Council for Pharmacy.
My grades on the 5.00 scale Live
Five O Level subjects and two A Levels — the minimum combination Bangladeshi universities quote.
Destination desks
Five places this qualification travels to.
Entry rules, the deadline that actually bites, the money, and the thing people get wrong about each one.
Calendar
The dates that bind.
Dates marked reported came from a secondary source — confirm those with your exams officer or the British Council before you plan around them.
Myths
Things almost everyone in the corridor has wrong.
This page is a study tool. It is not counselling, not therapy and not a medical service, and nothing here is a diagnosis of anything. If you are struggling with your safety or you have felt hopeless for weeks rather than days, please talk to a real person — a doctor, a counsellor, a family member you trust, or one of these:
MINDOS suggests ordinary study strategies — breaking work down, starting small, removing distractions. Plenty of people find starting hard; that on its own says nothing about you medically. If it is persistently getting in the way of your life, a qualified professional is the right person to talk to, not a website.
